Mrs. Alexus Bennett Director

Hello! My name is Alexus, and I have been with Kidz Playhouse for 10 years. I started as a teacher in our Toddler Program with a focus on infant and toddler development. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with all the children we serve, helping on field trips and driving the bus. I enjoy nurturing children and supporting their growth and individuality. In my free time, I love to travel and explore the outdoors. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to stop by my office. I am excited to meet you and look forward to providing the best early childhood experience for your family!

Ms. Sara Abbott Lead Toddler Room Teacher

This is my third year in childcare, and I have always had a passion for working with children! I am currently a student at Northwest Vista College, studying education because I aspire to teach child development. At home, I have one dog named Sonni and a cat, both of whom I love spending time with. I am incredibly excited about working with kids and helping them grow!

Ms. Angelina Caffey Pre-K Teacher

This is my first year teaching, and working with kids has been my dream since I was little. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my family and watching my favorite shows. A fun fact about me is that I truly enjoy traveling, and my favorite place I’ve visited so far is Europe, particularly Italy. I am thrilled to begin my journey here at Kidz Playhouse Learning Center!

Ms. Alexis Gauna Baby Room Teacher

A little about me: I love dancing and have danced for about four years now. Working with children brings me joy, and I actively participate in community service, often attending school events. I also enjoy exploring and participating in various activities, such as going to amusement parks and hanging out with friends and family.

Ms. Tytiana Dumes HR

I started as an afterschool teacher at Kidz Playhouse Learning Center in April 2019, and then expanded my knowledge in childcare and gained experience in teaching & working with our infants, toddlers, and our pre-k program. I obtained my bachelor’s from Praire View A&M in 2020 and found a passion in Human Resources. I love traveling and spending quality time with my family, along with caring for my pit bull, Bentley. It is a pleasure to have the responsibility of finding and maintaining our wonderful staff to ensure we have the best teachers caring for your kids.

Mrs. Blanca ElizondoBaby Room Teacher

My name is Blanca, and I am 34 years old. I have been an early childhood educator for 12 years. I love my job because I get to witness how my little ones grow and develop new skills every day. My favorite hobbies include swimming, going for walks, dancing, and having fun.

Ms. Yesenia Ortiz After-School Teacher

I love working with kids, and I have been doing this for over 13 years. I have two cats and three wonderful children of my own. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies and spending quality time with my kids. I also have a passion for tacos and hot chips!

Mrs. Maira Ortiz Cook

I’m a dedicated and highly skilled cook with over 10 years of experience. I am thrilled to be a part of the Kidz Playhouse Learning Center team! Having worked with children for many years, I truly have a passion for childcare. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and dancing.

Mrs. Meagan Moreno Assistant Director

My name is Meagan Moreno, and I am honored to serve as your Assistant Director and Food Program Manager. I was born and raised in San Antonio and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a teaching certificate from Schreiner University. I also attended the University of Texas at Tyler to obtain a Master of Arts in Instructional Leadership and my principal certification. I have taught 3rd to 8th-grade mathematics and served as an Assistant Principal for 8 years. When I’m not at the daycare, you can find me in my kitchen cooking, listening to an audiobook, binge-watching a series on Netflix, or exploring the city with my family.
